Entonox....?

It's been two weeks that I last switched on my computer to read or update my blog.
I'm not being lazy but I'm not too hardworking to just on the switch. (get it??)

First and foremost, I would like to thank all of my friends and relatives who have been wishing me good health and for those who are with me to share the happiness on 1st September.

Seems like it's going to be double celebration starting this year. (insya-allah) I'm celebrating Teacher's Day cum Naqib Fuzail's birthday. Yup...that's his name.

Here's a story about his arrival....

I admitted myself to the delivery suite around 2am on 1st September. The midwife on duty was telling me that it is a nice date to pick and asked me this question, " Are you a teacher?...Duh

So, I was to change into the pink dress and get ready for the induction. (sounds like a beginning teacher..) At around 2.30am, the senior midwife inserted something into me but I didn't feel a thing. She told me to wait for another 2 hours to see if there was any reaction.

Bee got himself comfortable with the sleeping sofa and consistently kept asking me if I had "it" already. Sometimes to my annoyance... After 4.30am, I still didn't feel anything, very much to my frustration.

So, I was asked to stay in the normal ward. This was not what I wanted, for my previous two pregnancies, this time of waiting was to be spent at home until I really felt like giving birth, only will I be in the delivery suite. However, for this time round, I'm starting off from zero.

At around 10am, the nurse told me that I'm ready to go down to the delivery suite as it was already 4cm. (a little bit of maths here...)

Reached room 24, I was given the white suit to change into. So...the waiting process started again. I felt hard contractions within 2 minutes BUT I didn't take any pain-relievers (if there's such a word). Still can managed the pain, so I tahan. The midwife kept asking me to take the Entonox, but I still resisted thinking that I'm in the war and badly wanted to be the next heroine.. (like real!!)

Around 12pm, she came in again and said, "Dik...pakai gas lah...nanti baby cepat keluar.." (translated as - don't try to be a heroine here hokay, look at your face, like one crazy woman enduring all the pain...)

So, Bee coaxed me into inhaling that very stimulating gas that makes you feel sleepy and feel like vomitting after a while. Within 15 minutes of using Entonox, I wanted to push like mad. My gynae came in and the midwife told me that if I've used the gas earlier, my baby will be out much earlier.

My gynae asked me to wait and try not to push yet BUT hell no, I just wanted to push coz I really can't wait any longer.

So, exactly at 12.29pm, Naqib Fuzail made his first appearance wailing ever so loudly and his body all covered with cheese (according to my gynae, its the fats inside my body, well that explains why I'm so fat during my pregnancy!)

He's a healthy baby that weighs 3.155kg. Another addition to my family and the one that I have to take care all by myself with the help of my bibik not my mum.

Well, there goes a long... story of his arrival and some pictures to show about his arrival.
